Welcome to the Mamuris Research Group at the Laboratory of Genetics, Comparative and Evolutionary Biology (BIOZ), Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, University of Thessaly.
Our research combines molecular genetics, genomics, bioinformatics and evolutionary biology to address fundamental and applied biological questions. By integrating cutting-edge genomic technologies with computational analyses, we investigate biodiversity, human health, animal genetics, food authenticity and sustainable agriculture.
Established in 2009, BIOZ has evolved into a multidisciplinary research laboratory equipped with state-of-the-art molecular biology, genomics and cell culture facilities. The laboratory supports internationally competitive research while contributing to undergraduate and postgraduate education through teaching, supervision and scientific training.
