Georgia Vetsika is a Research Associate at the Laboratory of Genetics, Comparative and Evolutionary Biology, Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, University of Thessaly. She holds a B.Sc. in Agriculture from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with an M.Sci. in Food Science and Technology and she is currently completing an M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She has also completed a specialized training in Bioinformatics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
She has research experience that combines molecular laboratory techniques and computational approaches, including DNA extraction, PCR and NGS, alongside the development of bioinformatics pipelines. She is also involved in genomic data analysis and scientific writing.
Her research interest focuses on the intersection of genetics, genomics and bioinformatics, combining molecular and computational approaches to address biological and biomedical questions.
