Georgios Stamatellos is a Research Associate at the Laboratory of Genetics, Comparative and Evolutionary Biology (BIOZ), Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, University of Thessaly. He holds a B.Sc. in Biochemistry and Biotechnology from the University of Thessaly and is currently completing an M.Sc. in Applied Bioinformatics at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
His experience focuses on bioinformatics and genomic data analysis. He has worked with next-generation sequencing (NGS) and transcriptomic data, applying computational and statistical approaches to investigate genetic variation and biological processes. His work includes data preprocessing, quality control and downstream analysis.
His research interests include genomics, bioinformatics and computational biology, with a broader interest in understanding the genetic basis of biological processes and traits. He has contributed to three scientific publications and has participated in national and international scientific conferences.
